Christmas Party Time

I actually did my hair especially for Christmas. A picture had to be taken to document that rare occassion. Just kidding! Christmas was so fun with my family, eventhough we were only four people. We sang every possible Christmas hymn there was and I don't think it sounded so bad. :)

On the 26th we went on our trip to Switzerland. Two of my friends and I were attending a YSA convention. Snowboarding was on the program.

As you can see, I'm pretty much a pro. We had beautiful weather, great snow and to top it even off... new powder on new years day. WOW! What a blessing. It could not have been better.

New years was also fun... we had a dance party and pretty much rocked the dance floor all night. you can't really tell, but I actually did my hair for that too. :) Hm... I lied, my friend did my hair.

So the new year started and after the first new years depression phase, which happens every year, I have now come back to normal life and enjoy it greatly. I made my first beanie. This was the beanie in the making.

So, I know it always takes me ages to post something on here and usually it's not really exciting. So here comes another boring post. I have been spending lots of time on the computer just working and stuff, so this is what I look like every night... LAME!

This other pic might be a little more exciting. It's a REALLY good friend of mine, that just got home from his mission. We met up at the temple last weekend. It was a really good time. On friday we'll be going to meet up in Switzerland with a lot of other YSA's for a snowcamp. I can't wait for the mountains and being on the slopes... I'll post pics after. I promise.

The other day driving to the temple. I left at 6 and this was the sunrise. I wish I could take better pictures while driving... By the way there is snow on the side of the road. It was an amazing morning.

Today after church... I just happened to look outside the window. I love clouds and heaven.

This is for all of you worried, that I was having a little too much fun clubbing... Afterwards I spend a week at the temple. In Germany you don't just go for a session, because the temple is so far away. The week before General Conference is was our stakes temple week, so I took the days off and spend all day in the temple. It was an amazing time to be close to Heavenly Father. A perfect time to prepare for Conference.

I hope all of you enjoyed conference as much as I did. It was a great time to renew my commmittments and be motivated in the work of the Lord. It was a time to renew hope in the future and promises that were made to me. I love our prophet and I know He is the one appointed by Heavenly Father in this day. Just thought I'd let you know. :)

7 years later at the club...

As far as I remember it has been probably more than 7 years that I have been to a real club. Until last night. We packed the two Americans that have never been to a club in the car... and then we were off to one of the clubs I used to go to all the time. I have to say the party came with the Mormons, no joke. Until we came nobody was dancing and then we started the party. This is almost all of us. What a fun night with some shocking experiences, that even I wasn't prepared for. But we all survived it and had a ton of fun getting jiggy with it. We even made it on the Internet with this picture.

We had to have some McDonalds afterwards of course. I pretty much had the best meal ever. A McFlurry and a Coke to ease the pain after eating something with milk. :)

All together it was a lovely night, but I am happy to not be a clubbing girl anymore. It was enough, maybe again in 7 years. Until then lots of dancing in front of the mirror at home.

I am sure you all wonder what SBS means... it's the secret bench society. :) Here are secrets told and secrets kept on the glowing benches of Düsseldorf. If you ever come to Germany I will show you those benches, they are magical. The two girls and I are the founders of the society. I am so extremely grateful for nannies in Germany.

EFY 2008 Germany

Steady and Sure... was the motto of this years EFY. Germany is lucky to now have this program for the youth of the church. Last year I was a counselor and had an amazing time. This year I was asked to coordinate EFY Germany. We had about 550 young men and young women there. I was able to see many miracles in the preparation and in the actual week. Heavenly Father truly works miracles in our day to make His work go forward. The young people are being prepared. I just wanted to share some pics with you of the greatest week of my summer.

It had nothing to do with getting some rest away from work, but spiritually we were all enriched. :) Afterwards I was sick for a while, so I couln't really work. I guess our body has a way of getting what it needs. I wish I could tell you everything that happened, but I think you would be asleep by the time I was done. :)

I decided to keep everyone updated by just starting one of these blogs... I'll have to figure everything out, but I love looking at all your blogs and pics of your families that you might have fun to see what going on across the big ocean.
